During the groundbreaking ceremony on December 27 in Kyrgyzstan, President Sadyr Japarov stated that the new railway will serve as not only a strategic asset but also a link between the West and the East.
He noted that the project will enhance regional connectivity and diversify transport routes, thereby increasing the region's competitiveness as a transit hub.
Sadyr Japarov further added that this route will enable the transportation of goods from China to Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia, and from there to Turkey and subsequently to the European Union.
