The Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, discussed with U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm the protection of energy facilities in Ukraine, particularly by enhancing the Ukrainian air defense system. This was reported by UNN citing the Ministry of Energy.
The Minister emphasized that this year alone, the Russian Federation has carried out 12 large-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, resulting in the destruction of 10 GW of generating capacity.
Jennifer Granholm assured that the U.S. will continue to assist Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression, particularly by supporting the Ukrainian energy sector.
