The star of the superhero film "Wonder Woman," Gal Gadot, shared her experience of suffering a "large clot" in her brain during her last pregnancy, reports UNN citing CNN.
Details
Gadot mentioned this in a post published on Instagram on Sunday, stating that she was in her eighth month of pregnancy when she was diagnosed, and that her fourth child was born before she underwent emergency surgery for treatment.
In February, as Gadot wrote, she was diagnosed with a clot after enduring a week of "excruciating headaches that kept me bedridden until I finally had an MRI, which revealed the terrible truth."
"In an instant, my family and I faced how fragile life can be. It was a harsh reminder of how quickly everything can change, and during a difficult year, all I wanted was to hold on and live," she wrote. "We rushed to the hospital, and within a few hours, I underwent emergency surgery. My daughter Ori was born in that moment of uncertainty and fear."
Gadot went on to explain that her daughter's name means "my light," and that before the surgery, she told her husband that "when our daughter is born, she will be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel."
She expressed gratitude to her medical team at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, stating that thanks to them, she "survived this" and is now on the road to recovery.
The "Wonder Woman" star wrote that she wants to share her story to encourage her followers to listen to their bodies and raise awareness about the importance of action.
"As we celebrate Hanukkah, the festival of lights and miracles, I reflect on the personal miracle that has been bestowed upon me. My daughter Ori is a constant reminder of the resilience, hope, and strength we carry within ourselves," she wrote. "I wish for us all to find our light, feel our own miracles, and continue to protect our health and each other."
