Kyivstar deducts 30 hryvnias daily from a subscriber's account for a service she doesn't use, prompting a response from the company.

A woman with a feature phone loses 30 hryvnias from her balance every day. The funds are deducted for a forcibly connected service called "Unlimited Social Networks." The corresponding comment was left by the customer on January 8 under the company's publication.

According to the woman, she received a "gift" from Kyivstar. The operator deducts 30 hryvnias daily for the forcibly connected service.

"A gift from Kyivstar - an elderly woman with a feature phone was forcibly connected to some unlimited social network and is charged 30 hryvnias daily," the woman complains.

Kyivstar's Response to the Complaint

Kyivstar commented on the woman's complaint, stating that changes to tariff conditions are a common practice among operators worldwide and have occurred for all users of a particular tariff plan.

"Changes to tariff conditions are standard practice among operators globally, affecting all users of a specific tariff plan. If a different number of services is needed and the changes are unsuitable, you can choose a tariff on our website or in the My Kyivstar app," Kyivstar representatives stated.

Unlimited Social Networks Tariff

Kyivstar's website indicates that the tariff fee is charged once every 4 weeks at midnight (after 00:00). If there are insufficient funds in the account on the tariff payment day, 30 hryvnias will be deducted for a daily service package, granting you unlimited use of Kyivstar services and unlimited internet. If your balance is 0 hryvnias and no payments have been deducted, you will not be able to use the services until you top up your account. You can top up your account on the website or in the My Kyivstar app without any fees.
