A woman submitted a request to reformat her two-rate meter. The request was successfully completed, but the device is not transmitting readings. DTEK indicated that the client's meter is not programmable. She shared her experience on her Facebook page.
According to the woman, DTEK successfully completed the request to reformat the meter to two rates. However, the device has stopped transmitting readings.
"Back in August 2024, I submitted a request to reformat my meter to two rates because I was assured that it could undergo this pleasant and simple procedure. In September, I received a notification that the request was successfully completed. A few days later, I called DTEK, and the operator asked me to approach the meter. Following his instructions, I pressed a bunch of buttons, and he said everything was great, everything was done, but I needed to call back in a month to check the readings for the two rates. I called back, and for some reason, the meter is temporarily not transmitting readings. It turns out my meter is not programmable, and I need to buy a new one myself, take it for verification, and then contact DTEK again for installation. Could you please provide me with a written response regarding what type of meter I have, what reprogramming procedure was performed by the technician I did not see, and what I should do next?" - the woman inquires.
DTEK responded to the woman's comment. They indicated that she has a NIK 2102-01.E2R1 type meter installed, which is electronic and does not support the "day-night" rate transition function.
"According to the information on your account, you have a NIK 2102-01.E2R1 type meter installed, which is electronic and does not support the 'day-night' rate transition function. The request was not completed due to the lack of technical capability. The message indicating the request was completed was erroneous; we apologize for the inconvenience. If you purchased the meter not from the company store, an incoming inspection is mandatory. Meters available for purchase at the company store have already undergone incoming inspection and have the appropriate certificates. You can also order a 'comprehensive service' for meter replacement. Information can be found here. If you require a written response, we recommend sending a letter to 20 Novokostyantynivska Street (postal code 04080)," - stated DTEK.
